Mary Beth and Brandon, And Two very Special Guests
Mary Beth and Brandon
September 10th 2010
Mary Beth and Brandon wanted an over the top upscale wedding, but all outdoors and on the ocean. This is a feat on the Outer Banks with so few reception sites right on the water that can hold over 50 people, so she chose the Village Beach Club in Nags Head. However, instead of being too "over the top" for this northerner's wedding, it ended up being, in my opinion, a perfectly sweet beachside ceremony with their feet in the sand and a warm and welcome beachy atmosphere for the reception. They incorporated several things that were special to them – all of the way down to the teddy bear that Brandon gave her when they first started dating. The teddy bear made it all of the way to the end of the evening on the dance floor, this little guy was special. They also skyped in Brandon's brother from the military that could not attend the wedding at the last minute AND projected it for the entire wedding to see. This is something I have never seen before, it was so heartfelt that there was not a dry eye in the house. Their wedding shows you that you do not have to have a room full of expensive decor to have a beautiful, meaningful wedding.
