Night-time Elegance

Our staff member Chris is just one of those photographers that I just cannot seem to get enough of.  His images are always beautiful, that is a given, but it's just the gorgeous colors and "luciousness-ness" of his night lighting that really stikes a cord with me every time.  This was a very un-traditional bridal portrait with the groom this week.  The wedding is this weekend, stay tuned for the final images of this one! - Julie

Rethinking your color palette

If this isn't the sweetest wedding I ever did see!  Would you ever say, hmm, I'm thinking of having orange as my main wedding color?  Most would go with a more neutral color - think again, these colors looked amazing and brightened up every place we went including the Whalehead Club in Corolla, NC, the parasols and color made an excellent beach color palette, and it just continued on into the reception with everything from orange and blue candy bar, yumm!  to the  . . . a must have for every modern bride, colored hotty shoes from Kate Spade . . .to the decorations from the fabulously talented Holiday House Weddings.  Holiday House Weddings along with the Sanderling Resort and Spa to the brides amazing gift at DIY detail, it was amazing to photograph the work of this amazing team of professionals.  I know.  I have the best job ever! - Julie

    Where were you 12 years ago when my husband and I got married... these are the most beautiful photographs I've ever seen!! What wonderful memories for them to look at, you captured everything. She was a most beautiful bride and he a handsome groom and I'm not at all subjective.. she's only my sister. You did a great job, can't wait to see all of the photos!

Bride-To-Be

I am totally a sucker for colored shoes at a wedding, they are such a statement and so much fun!  I can't wait for this "big day".  We get the opportunity to photograph this cute-as-can-be Outer Banks bride getting married in Oct at  The Outer Banks most perfect wedding venue, Duck Woods Country Club in Kitty Hawk, NC.  Samantha wanted to take a little romp around the Whalehead Club to test out her dress and shoes before the big day and we snapped some adorable photos.   - Julie

Lauren and Brian from Monkee’s of Greenville

This Outer Banks Wedding was over the top amazing.  Lauren, the bride, is darling, as sweet as pie, that is why I knew, right when I met her and her fiance Brian that I would love them.  Then I met her adorable fluffy white puppy . . .Then she picked an amazing team of vendors, Nanette of A Proper Setting, Dorothy from Bells and Whistles, I 100% had to photograph this wedding!  The bride owns a boutique shop and added her own touches from it Monkee's of Greenville - including handmade candles for each and every guest.

There is no spot at the Whalehead Club in Corolla that is not gorgeous.  Frogs and geese running amock for the kids to play with, beautiful sunsets, water in all directions, I have to say, it's my personal favorite location for an Outer Banks Wedding.  Lauren had her wedding on the lawns behind the Club, a perfect location to see the sunset, be protected from the winds of the Outer Banks, and be next to the walkway leading out to the sound, which of course, we had to photograph sunset on. We are feeling yummy over this one!
