This is totally the cutest, most lovely wedding we have ever done at the Sanderling Inn in Duck, NC. I cannot stop looking at these images and this fabulous couple. The flowers that Bells and Whistles put together were sheer perfection. The lighting everywhere…..ohh, I’m obsessing!…Simply gorgeous.

Every wedding at the Sanderling on the Outer Banks is fabulous!
We have been so blessed over the last 14 years to photograph weddings at the most prestigious, amazing venues on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but this one blew me away! The Inn on Pamlico Sound is located in Buxton, NC which is pretty much the Hatteras Lighthouse area of the Outer Banks. It’s fabulous! The natural organic beauty of this romantic wedding venue was perfect to capture some amazing photographs of Katherine and Brian’s big day…..of course, it helps that there is a 180 degree sound view from every room in the house! It’s the WOW factor! – Julie

Have you heard? Pinstripe at beach weddings is the “in thing” this year. It’s gorgeous against the blue ocean, but still gives that “organic” beachy feel instead of a dark blue suit. If you prefer nothing traditional, take a look at this lovely wedding at Pelican’s Landing in Corolla NC catered by Coastal Provisions Market. Sandals instead of tight heavy shoes, Tom’s shoes instead of high heals, cupcakes for anybody to pick up at their hearts desire, and mason jars on every table to hold the lovely flowers of Rene Landry of Blooms. Fresh ocean air blew into the tent all evening while the bride and groom said “forget the first dance”…they just danced with everybody all night long – deep into the evening with friends and family. – Julie

Spring is my favorite time of year on the Outer Banks and what better way to celebrate than with a new life! I spent the afternoon with Twiddy and Companys Amber Stegall. Her happy pregnancy glow was so powerful that you could see it every picture. Trinity Grace…..we are ready for you! – Julie
There are so many ways to make one of our super short 20 minute engagement sessions pop. Colleen wore an adorable cocktail dress that was a perfect contrast to the “beach” theme – they brought sunglasses, which added extra color and fun to the shoot…..we are gogo for gaga over our brides and grooms that love to have some color and fun on these short shoots. It’s makes the groom ubber happy and so excited to know that … yes … we are going to have fun getting our photographs taken on our wedding day – this is a GREAT experience, a pleasant surprise to what they might have expected. Honestly, these two are so in love and sooooo cute together, you could not take a bad photo of them! – Julie

Christine and Jason took full advantage of the trampoline set up by florist Rene Landry at the OBX Brides wedding show last weekend here on the Outer Banks. This insanely fun couple are getting married in Carova in July – can’t wait for this one! – Julie
