An Engagement, A Senior Portrait, and a Fabulous Family

July 12th, 2011

When Annie contacted me to photograph her family for their OBX beach portrait, I was all too happy to help her out.  After talking with her I knew I had a lot to photograph that night.  This family has so much going on it’s hard to keep up knowing where the conversation is going!  Her son is graduating and wanted some beach portrait type senior pictures, they had friends that are, well, almost . . .engaged, cousins to photograph . . .and this is all on top of her perfect family.  We had an amazing shoot at Coquina Beach in Nags Head, NC. – Julie

Fun Times on the Beach – “A Reunion!” Beach Portraits with Julie

June 19th, 2011

This Beach Portrait in Nags Head NC was so cute, I just had to share the beach pictures with all of my friends that visit here on the blog…

From the client:

“I just got home yesterday and was so excited to get those proofs.  Oh my gosh Julie, they are so beautiful.  I just keep looking through them over and over!  I cannot even begin to choose a favorite!  You were such a pleasure to work with!” – Liz Fox

A local family hangs out on the beach

May 26th, 2011

I totally get it that sometimes family beach portraits aren’t always the best blueprint of the “perfect” family when they are posed, so let’s have fun on the beach – this family that was staying with friends whom have had a house on the Outer Banks for generations.  They opted for cost effective alternatives of purchasing the CD of images instead of ordering the prints online.  To me, their  mish-mash organic style is what really made for this perfectly “documentary” shoot.- Julie

From the family:

“We just saw the pics a little while ago. They turned out absolutely
awesome! It’s going to be impossible to narrow things down, but we’re
getting there”
