Hi! I’m Lauren! I grew up on the Outer Banks and come from a family of photography enthusiasts and lovers of LOVE, as my own mother is a wedding officiant and performed her first wedding ceremony with me in her belly! I guess I must have caught the wedding bug then! My passion for photography blossomed while in college at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I studied photojournalism and was able to take pictures of any and EVERYTHING! One of my favorite experiences was getting to shoot the home games for the 2009 UNC men’s basketball team during their most recent championship season.  (Go Tar Heels!)
Being involved with the student newspaper in high school and college as well as working as a freelance photojournalist exposed me to so many different types of photography, so much that I feel ready to capture anything that comes at me! I have also nurtured a new love and appreciation for fashion photography… so be on the look out… maybe you will see my photos in Vogue one day!
I call myself a Photoshop goddess, love transforming images into masterpieces and get genuinely emotional at each wedding I shoot! My specialty is natural light photography, so that hour before sunset is my absolute favorite time to shoot! When Julie and I work together, our individual creativity joins forces and we are able to reach a new level of imagination for our clients!
