A Uniquely Bird Themed Local’s Wedding

May 31st, 2011

I’ve seen it all now!  This local, romantic and modern styled bride finally met the man of her dreams. . . . a rough, tough John Deer landscaper man.  They were the cutest couple, lighthearted and fun.  Every time he said something she laughed, they had the time of their lives  . . . .and filled with gorgeous elegance all around by the super ubber amazing Holiday House Florists and Decorators, this wedding ended just how it started, Dreamily .  .  .

Purple Splash and a Military Man Beach Wedding

Meg and Kevin

May 6th 2011

I have a confession. When a girl is fabulous, when I just know she must be photographed by me, I have to give a little extra with my packages in order to grab her – with Meg, I did.  I met this cutie, and just loved her energy.  I knew I could do her wedding right, it took pace at the Dream House in Carova, NC.  This is one of the most fabulous wedding houses on the Outer Banks – it overlooks both the sound and the ocean, what a photographers dream!  When it comes to a beach wedding I love some color.  I walked into her wedding and there were bright pops of gorgeous color everywhere from the candy bar to the napkins, there were lots of  fun beach moments, and they danced the night away! A local family hangs out on the beach

May 26th, 2011

I totally get it that sometimes family beach portraits aren’t always the best blueprint of the “perfect” family when they are posed, so let’s have fun on the beach – this family that was staying with friends whom have had a house on the Outer Banks for generations.  They opted for cost effective alternatives of purchasing the CD of images instead of ordering the prints online.  To me, their  mish-mash organic style is what really made for this perfectly “documentary” shoot.- Julie

From the family:

“We just saw the pics a little while ago. They turned out absolutely
awesome! It’s going to be impossible to narrow things down, but we’re
getting there”

Triplets!

May 24th, 2011

In the last couple of years, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the ladies at Southern Bank in Kill Devil Hills.  When the teller “Cherie” had triplets I just knew I had to photograph them.  I am 100% positive that these are the cutest babies I’ve ever come upon.  Thank you for sharing your little dumplings with me for the afternoon Cherie! – Julie Dreelin

Julie, you did an amazing job with my babies. You made them look like little models. Through the pictures you can’t even tell they were tired, cranky, and crying for the most part. Everyone that as seen the shots is as impressed as I am. You brought out their little personalites, the way you interacted with them with all your energy and patience was just what they needed to make these shots great. I can’t wait to frame them and show off your work to everyone that walk into my house and to show all of my customers at work. Thanks again for working with us and I will definelty have you shoot them again as they get older.

The Short Dress and Ubber Colors – Why have we all not done this?

May 21st, 2011

Short dresses + dogs + best friends + happy + you can see lots of thought went into the sweet details.  This super cute wedding felt like you walked into some kind of movie star event.  Jeffery is a professional kiteboarder, Courtney is a professional businesswoman and hotty – together there was nothing stopping them from getting the best wedding pics ever.  Run in the water, no problem, sunglasses, spins, climbing terraces, you name it.  This made for so many amazing shots that it was hard to pick the best ones.  Oh my gosh – What a cute idea were the mustaches on a stick!  This couple was “nectar” – full of life and fun!
