Beach Revival – Celebration of Life and Family

September 28th, 2015

What do you do when a doctor tells you that you have cancer with only months to live? You book a beach house with your daughters. For this amazing family they did just that, but things took a turn just as they were about to hit the road for the Outer Banks. This strong mother found out she had been misdiagnosed and has more time to live.

This shoot became a celebration of life, love and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her girls. To say that witnessing this emotional revival was an honor does not even cover how lucky I was to capture their story.  Laughing, dancing and singing among the sand and sea oats, this shoot with forever stay in my heart.

Five Questions You Should Ask Your Wedding Photographer

September 9th, 2015

Why is finding the perfect wedding photographer important? It’s simple: you will have these photos for the rest of your life to cherish. While many great wedding blogs share the basic questions to pose to your [potential] wedding photographer, there aren’t many guidelines that come straight from the experts. This is why I wanted to share my top five questions that I like to be asked when it comes to booking me for your wedding day!

1 | How do you personalize your photography for each couple’s wedding day?

My ultimate goal for every client is to get to know you two, and see how we can give your unique story life through photography. I absolutely adore learning about my clients’ wedding details, other vendors involved and your wedding style to help me prepare for your big day.

2 | How will you make us feel relaxed in front of the camera?

This is one of the most important questions to pose to your wedding photographer! By offering free a engagement session with your wedding package, we are able to connect and work together before your wedding day. When it comes to our photography style, many of my clients have often said, “we hardly noticed you,” to describe our shooting style!

3 | If I decide on the wedding day that I would like to extend your coverage, will you stay?

Of course, of course, of course! We love making a couple’s wedding day as special as possible, and if extra coverage is what you would like to request than we can add additional hours onto the night of the event!

4 | Will you bring other photographers to work with you?

Since I am absolutely enamored with my job, I always cover the weddings and will typically have 2-3 photographers assisting with special lighting techniques, videography and equipment. However, how many people at your event and however long you would like us to cover your event depends on how many photographers you would want to have. Our final promise is to always provide a relaxed, enjoyable experience based on excellent customer service!

5 | How would you describe your shooting style?

Our wedding photography and video journalism is more than running about, staging moments and “snapping candids.” Combine our unparalleled experience and connection with the bride and groom, you will have luminous, natural photographs that are definitive in style and unlike any other.  By staying organized and knowing what is important to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. is what cultivates a priceless relationship with our clients.
